Which attachment should I use for the job?
Choosing the right attachment depends on the job, the type of surface and the area to be scraped. It’s always best to try the attachment first to see how it works. Wider attachments are for large-scale removal; narrow attachments are for localized removal on small areas (and especially in hard to reach locations). Many different attachments are available, and the most common ones are shown here. -
1) Cutter for scraping hard surfaces (for example concrete). Application examples: – Removing carpet adhesive, carpet foam or hard foam residues, plaster, gypsum and mortar residues, as well as putty and grout – Leveling out irregularities – Loosening flooring materials
-
2) Spatulas for scraping soft and sensitive surfaces (for example wood, plastic, glass). Application examples: – Removing paint residues, silicone, gypsum and plaster on glass and plastic sheets – Smoothing out and removing adhesive and sealant residues on parquet flooring
-
3) Wood chisels for carving, but only in short-fiber soft wood (e.g. limewood, poplar).
-
4) Universal blade for removing putty from window joints / remainders from door rabbets
